Unlike more recent homeowners associations, our dues are not mandatory. So you may ask why should I contribute to FHHO? Without your voluntary support, we cannot fulfill our mission. Your donations are used to help maintain the quality of our neighborhood, which in turn helps protect and increase the value of your most significant investment, your home. Every dollar you donate is a wise investment in your community.

Your contribution helps pay for:

• Maintaining our office (the blue cottage at the corner of Lee and Monticello Boulevards);
• Newsletters and flyers that bring you important information about our community;
• Welcoming new neighbors; and
• Special projects in our neighborhood to keep it attractive and unique.

Our only paid staff is a part-time office manager who maintains the office and records. The rest of the work is done by residents who make time in their busy schedules for Forest Hill and donate hundreds of hours of their efforts without compensation.

FHHO always needs and welcomes people who are willing to help to carry out the many tasks necessary to keep the association functioning smoothly, from coordinating mailings to homeowners, providing refreshments for meetings, or greeting new neighbors to meeting with city officials or working on long-range matters — from simple tasks to more complex projects. We urge every resident to become active in some neighborhood effort.
