Annual Members' Meeting

The annual meeting of the members of the Forest Hill Homeowners’ Association, Inc. will be held on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, 6:30 - 8:30 pm, at Forest Hill Presbyterian Church, 3031 Monticello Blvd. Cleveland Heights, OH 44118.

In accordance with the FHHO bylaws, the annual meeting of the Members will be held to hear the reports of various committees and to elect Trustees to the Board, as set forth in Article VI.

SLATE OF CANDIDATES

The Nominating Committee issued a call for residents interested in serving as Trustee. Based on the responses received, they have nominated the following slate of candidates:

Voting will be by ballot at the meeting and by absentee voting. Ballots for absentee voting can be downloaded by clicking here. If any housebound resident is unable to deliver an absentee ballot to the Blue Cottage, please email Treasurer@fhho.org to arrange for pick up.

Call for Nominations for 2018/2019 Trustees

The nominating committee is looking for energetic, community-minded residents to serve as trustees for 2018/2019. Previously, the Board has consisted of as many as 50 Trustees. This year, the Board voted to reduce the number to 15.

In evaluating nominations, the committee will consider factors such as the candidate’s commitment and willingness to serve energetically and in a collaborative manner both on committees and by promoting FHHO in the community and Cities of Cleveland Heights or East Cleveland, The committee will also consider whether specific needs of FHHO, e.g. fundraising, legal, marketing expertise, community engagement as well as diversity of representation, are covered by the proposed slate.

For candidates who have served as trustees previously, the committee will evaluate their previous contribution. They will also consider whether these trustees fulfilled the legal fiduciary responsibilities of a board member and volunteered their time in the best interests of FHHO and the community.

According to the current bylaws of FHHO, to be eligible for consideration as a trustee, you must:

  • Be a resident homeowner [or resident domestic partner] (bylaws, Article II) of a deed-restricted home within the area encompassed by the Forest Hill Home Owners’ Association Inc.

  • Have made your annual contribution (Article II).
