Historic Euclid
Golf Allotment
This site provides extensive information
and images of the Euclid Golf allotment in the Cedar-Fairmount
area of Cleveland Heights, which was developed by Barton
R. Deming on land purchased from John D. Rockefeller. Barton’s
brother, Grant W. Deming, created the original Forest Hill
development, also on land purchased from Rockefeller (roughly
bounded by Euclid Heights Boulevard and Lee, Cedar and Coventry
Roads).

Cleveland Cultural Gardens
The Cultural Gardens lie in Rockefeller
Park, 254 acres of tranquil green corridor running from University Circle to
Lake Erie. John D. Rockefeller donated the land for the park to Cleveland in
1896 in celebration of the city’s first centennial.

Cleveland’s 1905 greenhouse in Rockefeller
Park features a botanical garden with specialty plant collections, seasonal
floral displays and theme gardens.
