Forest Hill Historic Preservation Society
The Forest Hill Historic Preservation Society is a non-profit organization founded in 1987 to promote, research and educate the public regarding the history of the Forest Hill neighborhood and park and the Rockefellers’ connection to Forest Hill.

The Cleveland Restoration Society
The restoration society is the region’s largest non-profit preservation organization and is a local partner affiliate of the National Trust.

The Cleveland Memory Project
The site is a searchable digital archive of Cleveland’s history and features numerous postcards and other images of the original Rockefeller home at Forest Hill and of Forest Hill Park.

The Encyclopedia of Cleveland History
This on-line version of the book includes entries on Forest Hill, the park, the Rockefellers, Cleveland Heights and East Cleveland.

East Cleveland Township Cemetery
This site is dedicated to the historic cemetery where many of the early residents of East Cleveland and Cleveland Heights are buried.

Historic Euclid Golf Allotment
This site provides extensive information and images of the Euclid Golf allotment in the Cedar-Fairmount area of Cleveland Heights, which was developed by Barton R. Deming on land purchased from John D. Rockefeller.  Barton’s brother, Grant W. Deming, created the original Forest Hill development, also on land purchased from Rockefeller (roughly bounded by Euclid Heights Boulevard and Lee, Cedar and Coventry Roads).

The Euclid Heights Allotment
This digital edition of a master’s thesis by William C. Barrow deals with the history of the Euclid Heights allotment in Cleveland Heights between Cedar, Mayfield and Coventry Roads.

The Heights Rockefeller Building

Lake View Cemetery
The Rockefeller monument marks the graves of John D. Rockefeller, his wife Laura Spelman Rockefeller, his mother Eliza Davison Rockefeller and other members of the Rockefeller family in historic Lake View Cemetery located between Euclid Avenue and Mayfield Road.

Cleveland Cultural Gardens
The Cultural Gardens lie in Rockefeller Park, 254 acres of tranquil green corridor running from University Circle to Lake Erie.  John D. Rockefeller donated the land for the park to Cleveland in 1896 in celebration of the city’s first centennial.

Rockefeller Park Greenhouse
Cleveland’s 1905 greenhouse in Rockefeller Park features a botanical garden with specialty plant collections, seasonal floral displays and theme gardens.

The Ohio Historical Society
The society is a nonprofit organization dedicated to interpreting and preserving the prehistory and history of Ohio.

Part of The Rockefeller University, the archive center site includes biographical information about select members of the Rockefeller family.
